To all Mum’s and Dad’s of school age children out there, I fully salute you for your efforts in looking after your little darlings for the last 6-7 weeks. For the Grandma’s, Grandads, Nannas, Aunties, Uncles and the like who have possibly helped, thank you. The children have now gone back to school, and its time to embrace autumn.

A gloriously sunny evening, could only mean one thing, an impromptu bike ride for my Daughter. After a full day at school, then an hours dance class, it would seem that a final release of energy was required apparently, and off we went.

So today, I dropped my beautiful Daughter off at a dress rehearsal for her first dance show. She looked so beautiful with her lovely stage makeup and double French plaits. Whilst I am very confident in applying makeup, I must confess, I am not a proficient plait artiste’ by any stretch of the imagination. I have had somewhat of a sweaty palm syndrome of late, with the white elephant in the room being this hairstyle! All that to one side, I pulled my magic out of the makeover bag, and out popped a stunningly beautiful 8 year old girl, ready to dazzle at her dress rehearsal.
